In this exercise owner and professional personal trainer Kai performs a two in one workout. This exercise is a designed movement that focuses  on your back muscles and external obliques. You seeing having a bikini body in Newport Beach in imperative especially with the great weather and sunny beaches the Southern California area provides. Therefore, our trainers and owners like to create exercises that can get you in top shape as fast as possible. Here you see Kai using a variation of a cross cable machine as she rotates her torso while keeping the cable at a down word diagonal. The torso rotation focuses on the external obliques while the diagonal tension places resistance on the shoulders. After a few sets there is now stopping, she immediately goes into a lateral pull while her muscles are fatigued. In a 25 sec rep she has attacked her back muscles, obliques and back. She would perform 3-4 sets before moving on. You can either lower the weight each set, raise it or keep it the same. That all depends on your training regime! Here is the video diagram! Enjoy!</p>

There are multiple ways to deny the ball, but this drill gets players moving and understanding the baseline for more advanced denial drills. This is also a great drill for those who are looking for short sprint exercises. Instead of going into the denial position, you can sprint under the basket to one cone sprint back under basket and  and so on until you have completed all cones.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><strong>Kai Kelly’s 20-Minute Workout</strong></p>
<p>Kai Kelly, a personal trainer and the owner of Fitness by Kai in Newport Beach who also trains in the areas of Costa Mesa, Irvine and Tustin, says to start with one minute of crunches, one minute of jumping jacks and one minute of pushups. From there, move into a plank position and rock 2 inches forward, then 2 inches back, keeping your spine parallel to the ground and elbows directly under your shoulders, with forearms separated, for 45 seconds. The rocking motion will cause your abdominal muscles and shoulders to burn within seconds. Next, perform jumping lunges and squats with added pulses in between each set of 10. Repeat these exercises three to four times.</p>
<p><strong>Erica Ziel’s 10-minute Workout</strong></p>
<p>“This workout in Costa Mesa is short yet intense—and very effective,” says Erica Ziel, a Pilates instructor at Body Design in Newport Beach who specializes in prenatal and postnatal fitness in Orange County. Each exercise incorporates more than one concept for maximum results. “If you don’t have time for an hour-workout, don’t say, ‘I don’t have time to workout.’ Everybody has 10 minutes. The majority of people who start moving for 10 minutes feel so good when their energy level gets spiked that they end up working out for half an hour.”</p>
<p>Do a set of 20 squats with arm raises, then 20 plank-to-pikes, then 10 burpees (plus pushups). After repeating two to four times, you should have worked up a sweat and feel it in your muscles. For added burn, use three- or five-pound dumbbells in the arm raises, add a jump to the burpees or add more reps to each exercise (for example, do 25 squats instead of 20).</p>
<p><strong>Squats with arm raises</strong></p>
<p>Begin by standing with your feet hip width apart or wider. Squat as low as you can go while keeping your weight towards your heels so you feel it mostly in the back of your legs (not your knees). As you squat, raise your arms out 45 degrees. Stand up and lower arms by your side.</p>
<p><strong>Plank-to-pike</strong></p>
<p>Begin on the ground with your elbows and toes supporting your weight in a plank position, abs engaged (parallel to the ground). Raise your butt up to the sky. Lower slowly back down into plank position. For less intensity, hold the plank position for as long as you can.</p>
<p><strong>Burpees plus pushups</strong></p>
<p>Start in a standing position, then reach down for the ground and either jump or walk down into a plank position. Do a pushup, keeping your elbows at 45 degrees (if that’s too difficult, do a modified pushup on your knees). Jump or walk your legs back under you to standing, and for more intensity, jump up once.</p>
<p><strong>Ryan Campbell’s Simple Squats</strong></p>
<p>Simple squats, when done correctly, not only strengthen and tone with fast results, but they can help prevent and cure knee, hip and back issues, says Ryan Campbell, trainer and fitness manager at Equinox Newport Beach. He shares the three key elements to a good squat:</p>
<p>1. Get grounded. Start with a solid base with feet hip or shoulder width apart. Keep knees tracking properly in line with the feet, and heels firmly planted on the ground.</p>
<p>2. Shoot from the hips. Leading each squat with your hips means maintaining the majority of your body weight in your hips and heels the entire time.</p>
<p>3. Control yourself. Only squat as low as you can control your core (your spine and pelvis).</p>
